Work In Progress

( I will be adding a few things here and there this page is is not complete, Work In Progress. )

Quick Overview

Internet Provider: Checking your UPLOAD Speed with your Internet Provider.

Pick a Streaming Software ( ie; Twitch Studios , OBS Studios , Prism Live Studio)

Equipment / Tools to Have; Computer or Laptop RECOMMAND: is that you Connect the computer to your Cable or Router with an Ethernet Cable, instead of using WiFi.

Webcam: NOTE: No Rule on having a webcam for your face to be a streamer.

Separated Microphone USB / Cable , Separated Headphone USB / Cable

Program Bots for stream ( ie; StreamElements , Nightbot , Streamerbot ) Recommend one bot to do the commands.

Moderators : You need someone that you can relay on , please don’t pick out a friend , but someone who knows Twitch’s TOS, and the back end of Mod View.

Twitch’s Settings for Moderation , checking out and using Automod for any Hateful and abusive slurs to harm you and your viewers, also check the Chat Verifications ; Email and Phone.

Optional Things: Two Webcams , Stream Deck , Studio Lights , Green Screen , 2 PC Streaming

QUICK TIP: Don’t rush into streaming with the high tech toys and accessories , just begin by what you have, and work your way up. I think asking your viewers for donations for funding your streaming is acceptable because you should be able to grow and to preform.

Equipment to have:

A decent computer or laptop attached to the cable box or router via ethernet cable is a must. Your cable services must have good Upload speeds , your downloads is not how data is sent to the world.

Ideal Upload Speed in (Mbps) to Stream with is 10Mbps to 100Mbps (lowest to 4K). Megabits per second.

Your Ideal Setup with your Computer should be in a very comfortable place to stream. Many streamers have a very decent desk, your computer must also be connected to your cable box provided by the internet services provider with an ethernet cable. Streaming location should be in an area free of household traffic or background noises.

A. Picking a Streaming Software

( there are more than listed, I have only listed the ones I have used so far. )

Twitch Studio - Twitch has designed its own user-friendly software for you to be able to stream on twitch. [ https://www.twitch.tv/broadcast/studio ]

OBS Studios - is a software that you download locally onto your computer and its design is to help you stream on the internet, like Twitch. You can control your stream, and It will help you organize your scenes and sources along with information about your stream. [ https://obsproject.com/ ]

Prism Live Studio - is the best of the two listed above to give you a user-friendly environment and to be able to really take control of your streaming experience. [ https://prismlive.com/ ]

B. Picking out a Bot for your Stream

( there are more than listed, I have only listed the ones that I have used so far. )

NightBot : is a web based bot where you join and log in to create and modify your commands.

StreamElements : is a web based bot where you join and log in to create and modify your commands.

Streamerbot : is a program where you download and be in control of your own bot to be able to do so much more.

C. Twitch’s Settings for Moderation

To control the amount of Hostility , Discriminations and Slurs , Sexual Content , and Profanity with some options to help you protect your viewers. You can also adjust as you go.

You are able to block terms and phrases for your channel also, this would help block out those follower bots that posts a link or sentence or two to buy followers.

Blocking hyperlinks is a good idea when you are first starting out because you don’t need to worry about those bots who post links to bad websites, and it can be harmful for you and your viewers. If there is someone who wants to share a link, you and your moderators can !permit a user for “x” seconds or minutes to post a link inside your chat.

To have an extra layer of safety for your and your viewers I suggest looking at Channel Privileges, under Chat Verifications I recommend you make sure you turn on in both Email and Phone Verification where it says “First-Time chatters in my channel must have a verified email /or phone number”

D. Picking some Chat Moderators for your Chat.

First rule of thumb that is to pick someone that has Twitch’s Terms Of Services in mind, as well as how to work in the Mod View of Twitch. So this view can give your moderators the power to help you guide your chat room. Please don’t pick out a Friend who just join twitch, or to just to have a moderator in your chat room.
